SSD Upgrades to desktops and laptops

SSD (Solid state drive) is a new type of hard drive that has no moving parts and uses electronic chips called NVRAM (non-volatile RAM) to store data. This results in much faster performance than with conventional hard drives, which use spinning magnetic platters to store data.

SSDs can be added to a computer for additional space or can replace the existing hard drive, making the system even faster than when it was new.
